Policies & Information.
The Rhythm Practice operates within a framework of professional standards, safeguarding procedures and organisational policies designed to support safe, ethical and effective practice. We are committed to providing high-quality services for children, young people and adults, and to maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct, safety, confidentiality and governance.
The information below provides an overview of our approach to safeguarding, privacy and data protection, complaints and organisational policies.
Safeguarding.
The safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults at risk is central to the work of The Rhythm Practice. We are committed to providing safe, supportive and inclusive therapeutic environments where individuals can engage in therapy with confidence.
All therapists associated with The Rhythm Practice work within a shared safeguarding framework and are required to maintain appropriate safeguarding training, professional registration and supervision. Safeguarding concerns are overseen by our Designated Safeguarding Leads, who provide guidance and support across the organisation.
We work collaboratively with families, schools, local authorities and other professionals where appropriate, and follow relevant safeguarding legislation and guidance to ensure concerns are managed promptly, sensitively and effectively.
Privacy & Data Protection.
The Rhythm Practice is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all clients, families, referrers and partner organisations. We handle personal information responsibly and in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Information is collected and used only for legitimate purposes relating to the delivery, administration and safeguarding of our services. Appropriate measures are in place to ensure personal information is stored securely and accessed only by those who require it in the course of their work.
As a network of affiliated self-employed therapists, individual therapists are responsible for maintaining and securely storing their own confidential clinical records. Referral and service administration information is managed through secure organisational systems to support the safe and effective delivery of services.
Complaints.
The Rhythm Practice is committed to providing high-quality, professional and responsive services. We welcome feedback and recognise that concerns or complaints can provide valuable opportunities to improve our practice.
Where concerns arise, we encourage individuals to raise them as early as possible so that they can be addressed promptly and fairly. We aim to resolve issues openly, respectfully and in a timely manner.
Our complaints procedure outlines the steps for raising a concern, making a formal complaint and how complaints are investigated and responded to. All complaints are handled sensitively, confidentially and in accordance with our organisational policies and procedures.
To raise a concern or make a complaint, please contact us by email or through our contact page. Information about alternative contacts for complaints relating to the proprietor is available within our full Complaints Policy (see download link at the top of this page).
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
The Rhythm Practice is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment for all individuals accessing our services. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in therapy free from discrimination, prejudice or unnecessary barriers.
We value and celebrate diversity and recognise that every individual brings their own unique experiences, identities, strengths and perspectives. We are committed to treating all clients, families, staff, therapists, volunteers and partner organisations with dignity, fairness and respect.
The Rhythm Practice does not discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, or any other characteristic protected under the Equality Act 2010.
Our therapists aim to provide services that are responsive to the individual needs, circumstances and cultural backgrounds of the people we support. We recognise that barriers to participation may exist and will seek to make reasonable adjustments wherever possible to enable individuals to access our services.
Accessibility.
We are committed to making our services as accessible as possible. Our Blue Room therapy studio at The Pound Arts Centre is fully accessible and located on the ground floor. We encourage clients, families and referrers to discuss any accessibility requirements with us prior to commencing therapy so that appropriate arrangements can be considered.
Where possible, information can be provided in alternative formats and therapeutic approaches can be adapted to meet a wide range of physical, sensory, cognitive and communication needs.
Our Commitment.
We are committed to continually developing inclusive practice and creating environments where people feel safe, valued and able to participate fully. We welcome feedback on how we can improve accessibility, equality and inclusion across our services.
If you would like to discuss any accessibility requirements or have questions about our approach to equality, diversity and inclusion, please contact us.
